Hello I realise that my NAS is not on the supported NAS devices to run Plex however I am curious if I could install Plex onto an Iomega ix-200 NAS device. At the moment my movies and TV shows are on my NAS device which I can access from all my computers at home both Windows and Android. At the moment I am using my Window's 7 computer to run Plex by accessing my stuff on the NAS box. I very much would like to cut out the middle man and turn off my power hungry computer and use Plex to access my stuff on the NAS box. As far as I can make out my NAS runs on a modified form of Debian, so would it play nicely with the Plex software?
Solved: I purchased a Lenovo ix2-dl NAS a few months ago. Shortly thereafter, I put two Seagate 1TB drives in the unit to confirm that it was working. Either visit.

I have very rudamentary skills at computer stuff, however I am willing to give anything a try. Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
I’d also be interested in whether this would be viable to run less demanding media. More specifically, I have a Lenovo IX200 NAS that’s no longer being used. I’m interested in maybe storing the animated movies in my collection on it, basically creating a local, one-room “server” for my grandkids to access when they stay with me. My biggest concern is that the processor in it isn’t strong enough for the decoding that would be required.
